Balance Your Minerals and Trauma Release Happens Naturally

Traumas can be physical, mental, emotional or spiritual in nature or a combination of the above. These are incidents that put a stressor on the mind and actually change the dynamics of your body. Traumas place a type of signature on body mind spirit that can be interpreted on a hair tissue mineral analysis and can be addressed and healed as a natural process of health and wellness when you follow a mineral nutritional balancing program.

Overcoming childhood or adulthood traumas is often difficult.  This article describes what traumas are, how they affect us, and a new method of trauma release that is extremely effective, simple and builds health at the same time.

WHAT ARE TRAUMAS?

Traumas are painful incidents or events that place a special type of stress on the mind.  As a result, a person decides that he or she must never revisit the incident, as it would be too painful.

Instead, the person feels compelled to “wall off” the event or incident so that one will not “accidentally” or haphazardly revisit the trauma, which would be extremely painful.  This can mean intentionally or unconsciously forgetting that it ever happened, or altering one’s memory of it to make it seem less painful, or even concocting a lie to explain the situation.  This is often done unconsciously, to some degree, at least.

As a result of this process, however, the person stops functioning at full brain capacity.  The reason is that part of the brain processing mechanism has been walled off, shut down or subtly altered in some way.  As a result, it is no longer available for full use by the person.  This, in a way, cripples the person, often for life.

A somewhat more subtle understanding of trauma is that it simplifies the mind and personality.  This is a special type of damage.  The person often starts to think in more black-and-white terms, for example, especially about issues related to his or her trauma.

It is literally a decrease in the complexity, subtle architecture and subtle bodies and brain of the individual.  An extreme example of this is when violence is used to brainwash a person, the goal is to turn the person into a sort of mindless slave who does not think much, and just follows orders.  This type of trauma is inflicted on people every day and serves to help control political prisoners, for example, or to produce prostitutes for human traffickers and pimps.

HOW TRAUMAS AFFECT US

Living with traumas is like having to drive around large boulders or large potholes in the road that you must drive every day to your workplace or home.  By definition, one cannot just move through these blocks, so the mind and sometimes the body does its best to “go around them” as much as it can.  In so doing, however, many vital functions are altered and usually vitality is reduced and health suffers, too.

In other words, traumas are blocks that get in the way of one’s thinking, feeling, perception, memory, and perhaps other brain functions.  Also, many traumas affect physical functioning as well, such as digestion, sleep, movement if the structure is affected, heart function, immune response and many others.  These are some of the major effects of traumas.

Traumas often cause people to lie to themselves and others, or intentionally block out or forget painful incidents or accidents.  This sets up severe conflicts inside the mind that can lead to many other mental and physical dysfunctions.  Traumas also severely lower one’s energy and self esteem, and can have many other effects upon the personality.

Walling off a part of the brain also causes neuroses, such as fear of guns, for example, if one was involved in a gun incident, or fear of men if one was raped, for example.  It can also cause strange behaviors, compulsions, phobias, and even psychotic episodes and conditions such as schizophrenia.

Indirectly, traumas can cause much more, such as gaining too much weight or being too thin, physical disabilities such as limping, impaired respiratory, cardiac, immune and other physical disorders and diseases.

Other effects are diminished mental acuity, extreme nervousness in certain situations, bad habits to avoid feelings of panic and anxiety such as cigarette smoking, using drugs, using alcohol, biting the fingernails, eating disorders, stuttering, and many other symptoms.

Trauma is not even considered most of the time one visits a doctor, but it should be.  It is a major cause of mental and physical illness, along with nutritional deficiencies, of which trauma is one cause or a contributing factor.

The importance of nutrition for healing traumas is discussed below.  I will just say here that the better nourished and more balanced the body, the better anyone will handle all types of physical and mental traumas.  Excellent nutrition helps make a person more resilient and more able to process all types of traumas, so it can literally save one’s life in the event of a serious injury, accident or other trauma-inducing event.

EXAMPLES OF TRAUMAS

Traumas can be of three basic types.  They can involve serious injury to the body, serious afflictions of the mind or emotions, and they can involve the soul or spirit.  However, most traumas involve all three of these areas of human functioning, so I will list them together.  Here are examples of common traumas:

  1. Physical violence against the body.  This might include being beaten, raped, screamed at, forced to have too much sex or going too long, political oppression with deprivation, being forced to go into a war zone, muggings, robberies, or animal attacks such as being bitten by a shark.  It might even involve having to take a course of a drug therapy like chemotherapy with all the horrible side effects.

Other physical acts of violence include severe accidents and injuries, or even going through a severe fever or other illness.  The worst illnesses are often those involving physical pain, physical disfigurement such as losing one’s hair or having one’s skin burned or fall off, or something else that is horrible to behold.

Other physical acts of violence involve bullying, hazing, knife and gun violence, gang violence, and fights with the loss of teeth, for example, or broken arms.

Other physical traumas include difficult births, retarded or delayed development children, birth defects, violence in children, and deaths of loved ones, even the death of one’s dearly loved pets.

  1. Emotional traumas of all kinds. This means harassment, embarrassment, humiliation, deprivation, or insults of some kind.  For example, this may involve a parent who is too critical, who yells, who swears or punishes too harshly.  It could be a school teacher who picks on a child or won’t let a child use the restroom.  it could be a boss who picks on an employee.  It often involves bullying, hazing and such – more on emotional and psychological levels.
  2. Social traumas.  These are many, including being ostracized or ex-communicated by your family, your community, your church or others.  It might include being slandered, ruining of one’s reputation or good name by others.  It might also include a very bitter and prolonged divorce, getting sued, job loss, bankruptcy, foreclosing on a home, or even just extreme poverty.
  3. Spiritual/religious traumas.  These may include membership in certain religions, cults, voodoo, black magic, witchcraft, satanic rituals, certain other spiritual groups and organizations, guru situations in some cases, vegetarian and raw food groups, sadly, and other negative or harmful religious initiations or acts that are billed as spiritual or religious.

For example, recently several people were killed in a Native American sweat lodge ceremony that went too long.  People were distracted by the religious/spiritual nature of the event and did not realize the danger they were in.  Groups, in fact, can do many things to traumatize people, either consciously or unconsciously.  These include strange prayers, in some cases, long events that cause sleep deprivation, various rituals, and much more.

  1. Witnessing.  Just observing or even hearing about the horrors of other people can be quite traumatic, especially for children.  It might include witnessing murders, rapes, robberies, screaming, beatings, parents fighting each other, throwing things around the house, throwing food, living in a war zone, living in a place that has an earthquake, tsunami or other natural disaster, a terrorist attack, a building collapse, freezing cold or extreme heat, or something else.

Even witnessing violence or horror on television, on the computer, or the movies can cause trauma in susceptible individuals, especially if the person was traumatized earlier in life in a somewhat similar manner.

WHO BECOMES TRAUMATIZED?

Unfortunately, most of us have been traumatized to a degree, at least.  For example, children are extremely sensitive and even a simple look or harsh comment from a parent or a teacher can definitely traumatize a child easily.  Adults, also, often become traumatized easily, especially when the circumstances are right and the adult is vulnerable for some reason.

In fact, just living in modern society can traumatize some people, as there is a lot of stress in most families and work situations.  These are usually not severe traumas, but they do affect people’s thinking and behavior.  In this way, entire cultures are traumatized, at times, and this fact is not well enough appreciated.  It can lead to misunderstanding, miscalculations, and even to wars based upon trauma, and not upon real information.

For example, today in some nations children are falsely taught that all Western people are “satans” or devils.  This is a type of trauma for these children, both because it is false, and because the information is imparted with a very upsetting emotional force or charge.  Such children grow up full of hatred and fear, which colors their thinking and their behavior for their entire lives unless they are able to see through it and undo the trauma of their upbringing and education.

TRAUMA PATTERNS ON HAIR MINERAL TESTS

While not always associated with trauma, certain hair mineral patterns are usually reliable indicators of the presence of significant trauma.  Recall, however, that imbalances are layered in the body.  As a result, the top or most visible layer of metabolism reflected on a hair mineral chart can sometimes appear normal, even when deeper layers are not normal.  As a person retraces the deeper layers, usually the trauma will become clear on a retest hair mineral analysis.

A NEW APPROACH TO TRAUMA RELEASE

A complete nutritional balancing program has proven itself over and over to be one of the most powerful, and a rather simple and effective way to deal with traumas.  It does not just control the effects of trauma, but actually brings up and enables the release of deeply hidden memories and events.

It can do this in a non-threatening manner.  Additionally, the pace and intensity of healing is under the control of the person, not a counselor or anyone else.  Its cost is also far less than counseling, for example.

An important “side effect” is that one’s overall health improves drastically in most cases, because it drastically increases the body’s adaptive energy level.  Indeed, this is one of the keys to its success that permits and produces deep healing of the mind, and the body.

This method of trauma release is extremely safe as well, and can be used by anyone at any age.  Even if a trauma occurred years before, it appears to work.  It can be used by children as well as those in their 60s, 70s, or even 80s to release old traumas that hold one back in one’s life.

Another significant advantage is that one does not need to know what was the nature of the trauma.  One just follows the program, which increases the body’s energy and processing ability, and whatever traumas are there will surface in the proper order and time, using the body’s own wisdom to figure out the proper sequence and timing.

Many people report feeling not only healed, but able to perform mentally and emotionally even better than they could before their trauma occurred.  The reason for this is that nutritional balancing actually builds health, and this enhances brain and nervous system functioning often to levels that were not possible ever before.

PRINCIPLES OF THE SYSTEMS OR ENERGETIC METHOD OF TRAUMA RELEASE

The principles upon which nutritional balancing rests are very poorly understood and, in fact, largely unknown in the medical and psychological communities.  However, they are very powerful and effective and are based on modern systems theory, stress theory, chaos theory, and other more modern and somewhat more esoteric understanding of the body and mind.  They include the following:

  1. THE ABILITY TO REVISIT, REPROCESS AND CLEAR TRAUMAS OF ALL KINDS IS HIGHLY DEPENDENT UPON HAVING A HIGH LEVEL OF ADAPTIVE ENERGY OR VITALITY.  A lower overall energy level is associated with being stuck in traumas.

Increasing adaptive energy is therefore the single greatest key to healing traumas.  This is subtle because adaptive energy is different from the energy a person may seem to have to carry out daily tasks and activities.  The latter may appear perfectly normal.  However, in most cases, a hair mineral analysis, when performed and interpreted correctly, will show severe energy loss.

Adaptive energy is the ability to flexibly adapt to stress and overcome it handily.  It is a type of vitality, which is different, for example, from nervous energy that many people think is a high energy level.

  1. A PRINCIPLE RELATED TO THE ONE ABOVE IS THAT IT TAKES ENERGY TO FEEL FEELINGS, EVEN FEELINGS OF DEPRESSION OR SADNESS, FOR EXAMPLE.  Most people who are traumatized do not feel deeply enough, so they cannot process traumas properly, or at all.  They are stuck for this reason alone.  Most people do not realize this until they regain or develop a very high level of adaptive energy, at which time processing and retracing occur naturally.  Many people today have not had a high adaptive energy level in years, or perhaps never experienced this their entire lives.

While this seem shocking, it is true.  For example, Dr. Paul Eck, my teacher and mentor, used to speak of “burnout babies”.  By this he meant children and adults who have never had a really high adaptive energy or vitality level.  The problem is quite common today because most babies are born with significant nutrient deficiencies, along with high levels of toxic metals in their bodies.  Both are due to imbalances in their mothers.

These problems can be overcome in the future.  However, conventional pre-natal care and child-raising methods in Western developed nations and in Asia do not address these subtle nutritional problems very well.  As a result, most babies do not have a high adaptive energy level compared to what they could have.  In addition, the increasing use of vaccines, medical drugs and the atrocious diets of many infant and children quickly deplete the vitality of any young children who may have been born with a high vitality level.

  1. DEPLETING A PERSON’S ADAPTIVE ENERGY LEVEL IS ONE OF THE KEYS TO TRAUMATIZING HIM OR HER. HEALING TRAUMA IS THE EXACT REVERSE PROCESS.  For example, upsetting a person, hurting a person, or a serious illness always lowers vitality, and this sets one up for trauma.

Another type of trauma is oppression by a dictatorial government.  This may be induced by allowing the people to starve in the midst of plenty, depriving them of basic human rights, beating and raping the women and the men, or randomly murdering people to instill fear and despair.  Such methods were used in a systematic way, for example, in Hitler’s Germany, the former Soviet Union, and most other police or military dictatorships.  They are still used in many parts of Africa and in some Asian nations as well.  Even in Western nations, unscrupulous leaders lie to confuse and confound the people, thus keeping the people off balance and in a lower energy state.

Manipulative people of all stripes also control others by depleting their energy.  For example, they may continuously upset others, nag or bother others, or say things that intentionally discourage others.  A very common technique is to lie to others, which is confusing and depletes energy because the other person must spend energy trying to figure out what is true and what is not.

In this way, depleting people’s energy is a key to traumatizing them and keeping them down, while raising one’s energy level is a key to healing all traumas.

  1. REDUCING CHAOS HELPS ONE TO REVISIT AND RETRACE TRAUMAS SAFELY AND EASILY.  That which is called chaos is the sum total of discordant energy in a person.  The more of it one has in one’s life and in one’s energy field, the more difficult it is to process traumas of all kinds.

This is a simple, but very critical concept in trauma release.  It is not about the amount of energy in the body, but the quality of a person’s energy and perhaps the direction of energy flow in the body.  As chaos is reduced, the body’s ability to function in many ways is enhanced.

Items in a person’s life that can be controlled fairly easily that can drastically increase or reduce chaos include:

  • The diet – types, amounts and proportions of various foods.
  • The drinking water amount and type.
  • Imbalances in the mineral levels and ratios (controlled with several nutritional supplements).
  • The oxidation rate.
  • Vitamin deficiencies or excesses.
  • Sleep deprivation.
  • Upward-moving energy.
  • Allowing the body to become cold or overheated.
  • Exercise and activity - too much or too little.
  • Physical inflammation in the body and/or mind.  This can often easily be controlled with simple dietary changes and nutritional supplements.
  • Other.  These might include regulating drug use and smoking cigarettes, stopping upsetting activities, changing harmful relationships and more.
  • Avoidance of chaos-enhancing factors of all types such as medical drugs, many herbs and nutritional supplements, and unhealthy lifestyle factors such as lack of rest, and others.

Understanding chaos reduction helps one understand why imposing a healthful diet and lifestyle can be critical or at least very helpful to actually undo traumas of all kinds, and why nutritional balancing science emphasizes them so much.

Some of the items above can be controlled permanently through simple lifestyle and dietary changes.  Others, such as inflammation, require more time to remove toxic metals, notably the ‘amigos’ (toxic oxides and other forms of iron, manganese, copper, chromium, selenium, aluminum, boron, vanadium and molybdenum).  This takes longer, but also has profound effects upon chaos and overall health in the body and the mind.  Anti-oxidant therapy will not work nearly as well, and makes the body too yin, whereas removing the oxidant compounds is more profound and makes the body much more yang, as explained below.

  1. MAKING THE BODY MORE YANG GREATLY ASSISTS AND ALLOWS RETRACING AND RELEASE OF TRAUMAS.  This is an ancient Taoist and Chinese medical concept.  It has to do with physics, and how warm or cold, contracted or expanded, centripetal or centrifugal are the energetics of the body.  Almost all bodies today are much too yin, and most people are born this way today.  This is due to radiation toxicity, a toxic environment with contaminated air, water and food, a nutritionally depleted food supply, electromagnetic stress, and other factors.

Therefore, nutritional balancing places great emphasis upon making the body more yang using:

  •  Mainly the diet – animal protein daily, red meat several times weekly and even daily for a while, cooked and not raw food except for a little raw dairy products, and avoiding the nightshade vegetables (white potatoes, all tomatoes, all peppers, eggplant), avoiding all fruits, all fruit juices, and all sugars.
  • The type and amounts of nutritional supplements
  • The lifestyle recommendations
  • The amount and type of drinking water (reverse osmosis and alkaline waters are too yin, for example),
  • Enhancing the oxidation rate and the Na/K ratio, which are directly related to yin and yang.
  • Even learning how to think and feel in ways that are more yang, instead of yin.  For example, victim thinking of any kind is extremely yin, while sovereignty is more yang.
  • Use of saunas, which are extreme yang, coffee enemas which tend to be yang, and avoidance of most other detoxification and healing methods such as chelation, hormones, drugs and others that are more yin, in general.

This is another subtle aspect of nutritional balancing, but one that we find is absolutely critical for overall health and particularly for trauma release.

  1. REMOVING SPECIFIC TOXIC METALS AND TOXIC CHEMICALS AT THE DEEPEST LEVELS CAN FREE THE BRAIN AND BODY FROM PARTICULAR FEELINGS AND BLOCKS TO HEALING.

An excess of certain toxic metals and some toxic chemicals in the nervous system not only disrupts its functioning.  They can also create or sustain specific bodily feelings, sensations, ideas, and attitudes.

For instance, copper is associated with fear and emotionalism.  Iron is associated with feelings of rage and anger.  Cadmium is associated with violent, aggressive behavior, while mercury is associated with timidity and strangeness.

This is a very subtle, but important aspect of human physiology and biochemistry.  It is also an amazing aspect of minerals that I call the anthropomorphic aspects of minerals.

It appears that particular minerals actually give the body and mind precise emotional qualities that may be helpful or harmful.  It is not quite the same as toxicity.  It is a way that specific minerals may color or shape human experience.

These qualities of minerals can also be used therapeutically.  For example, fast oxidizers often have too much iron in their bodies.  This mineral is associated with hardness, toughness and strength.  Many of these individuals benefit greatly from taking copper, a soft, malleable metal compared with iron.  When given enough copper, the person literally softens, and this allows the person to consider new options, new strategies and new approaches to their problems.

Other minerals that harden people are cadmium, nickel, lead and arsenic.

Some minerals balance, such as zinc.  Others energize such as selenium.  Copper may help produce a detached quality of mind that is needed at times to process traumas.  Still other minerals are very grounding such as calcium and magnesium.

Some minerals will expand a person’s consciousness, while others tend to contract a person who is “strung out” too much.  Others simply nourish, while some are suppressive of enzyme activity and may be needed if the metabolism is overheated in certain ways.  This is an entire science of mineral therapy that is incorporated into all the nutritional balancing programs that I set up.

  1. THE BRAIN IS SELF-HEALING WHEN PROVIDED WITH ALL THE NUTRIENTS AND CONDITIONS IT REQUIRES.

This is a critical principle that we observe in action on a daily basis.  However, it is not recognized much in medicine, psychology or psychiatry.  It needs to be.  The reason it is not acknowledged, in my view, is that medical doctors and psychologists do not know how to properly nourish, balance, and condition the human brain sufficiently to allow the brain to do its self-healing.

I will give a simple example.  One can observe that small children, upon falling to the ground and scraping a knee, often will sit and cry, perhaps become angry and despairing, and go through a series of maneuvers that eventually resolves the trauma at all levels.  In ten minutes or less, they have forgotten the incident, their face turns sunny again, and they resume their play.  They are able to do this because their nervous system, primarily, has the self-healing quality I am referring to here.  In other words, they are able to process the trauma and move through all stages of it to its complete resolution.

This is an example of natural trauma retracing and release.  If we could all do this with all types of trauma, we would be trauma free.  However, if the system is overwhelmed, it literally becomes stuck in one or another stage of a trauma event, whether physical, emotional or other, and there the person remains, often for life.  Methods described in this article can help to provide the conditioning, nutrition, lack of chaos and many other conditions the nervous system requires so that we can all respond to traumas as the young child above does.

Problems restoring the brain’s self-healing abilities.  The main reason that medical and psychiatric professions are not able to induce more self-healing of the nervous system and brain is that the organ is extremely delicate, usually extremely toxic and depleted of certain nutrients, hard to diagnose imbalances accurately, and difficult to control in many people.

Nutritional balancing science can help, using very simple but powerful methods to reduce stress, basically, reduce chaos, reduce deficiency states, and enhance energy on many levels from the cells up to the systemic level.  Such simple changes as a very healthful diet, a balanced and restful and prayerful lifestyle,  the correct type and amount of drinking water, targeted and restrained supplementation, and especially moving energy downward out of the head area, are thus helpful in the extreme to recondition the brain and rehabilitate it sufficiently for its self-healing abillity to engage.

  1. AUTONOMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM CORRECTION IS ALSO VITAL FOR TRAUMA RELEASE IN MANY CASES.  This may include reducing fight-or-flight activity, although it can include enhancing the fight-or-flight response when needed.  It also includes getting rid of a condition I call sympathetic dominance.  It can also include just relaxing the system, renourishng this autonomic system, removing toxins from the autonomic centers of the body, releasing nerve pressure through chiropractic or osteopathic manipulation, resting the system, releasing blocked energy using foot and hand reflexology or other methods, balancing the system using deep breathing, perhaps, which connects the voluntary and the autonomic system, and similar and very simple means.

These quite basic changes are often very helpful to reduce stress and chaos, enhance cellular and system energy production and facilitate the kind of flexible, yet strong healing response we seek.

  1. TRAUMA ALWAYS MOVES ENERGY UPWARD IN THE BODY, FROM THE FEET TOWARD THE HEAD.  HEALING TRAUMA ALWAYS REQUIRES REVERSING THIS, MOVING A SUBTLE ENERGY FLOW DOWNWARDS, FROM THE HEAD TOWARD THE FEET.

This is a very subtle, at times, but a very important aspect of healing all ailments, particularly traumas.

OTHER ASPECTS OF ENERGETIC TRAUMA RELEASE

  1. CORRECT THE STRUCTURE. Traumas lodge in the body structure.  Correcting the structure with therapies such as chiropractic and intense body work such as Rolfing of structural integration can often dislodge or break through some types of traumas.
  2. LIGHT THERAPY. Certain light frequencies found in the near infrared lamp saunas appear to assist with trauma release.  I do not know exactly which frequencies are needed, but the near infrared “heat lamps” that are used in near infrared lamp saunas are definitely helpful for some or even many traumatized people.

It is extremely important to do three near infrared lamp sauna sessions daily.  Also, the sauna must have at least three (3) 250-watt heat lamps in it.

Other sauna effects, such as sweating and driving the blood out of the internal organs and toward the periphery of the body, also seem to be extremely helpful.  This may be why the Native Americans and many other groups around the world have used various forms of hot air and hot water bathing to release traumas and blockages in the body.

  1. CENTERING AND GROUNDING ARE VERY HELPFUL FOR TRAUMA RELEASE.  In nutritional balancing, this is done with specific foods, supplements, sauna therapy, coffee enemas and the use of only the Roy Masters meditation exercise.  Also, see the article entitled Healing The Autonomic Nervous System.

Grounding. Grounding has to do with the location in the body of one’s “chi” or subtle energy.  If a person’s energy is mainly in the head or even the heart area, the person’s center of gravity and perhaps perceptual ability is compromised.  Grounding the energy by moving it downward to the stomach area enhances relaxation and better perception, and does even more than this.

Grounding may also have to do with the direction of energy flow or movement within and around the body.  Grounding is moving energy downward, always from the head toward the feet, even when lying down.  Most people have energy moving upward, and ALL TRAUMA MOVES ENERGY UPWARD.  To reverse trauma energy must be reversed and flow downward, even if it must be done by force at first to help a person get used to the new feeling of moving energy downward.

Grounding also has to do with contact with the earth in some cases.  Walking barefoot, gardening, putting one’s hands in water, and walking, for example, and even avoiding living and working high up in skyscrapers, can be most helpful in some cases.  Electrical means can sometimes help, and one can learn about this from websites that deal with earthing.  Just type this word into your search engine and they will appear.

Centering. Centering is also important for trauma release and is somewhat different than simple grounding.  Centering has to do with the ability to focus or have the center of your being clear, and inside the self, rather than have your focus outside of yourself, which is sometimes called being “strung out”.  This is the situation with all who are traumatized to any significant degree.

Ways one can be uncentered are:

  1. The focus can be single, but outside the body or even off to one side.  This is often called a fixation or neurosis.
  2. The focus can be all over the place, varying at times.  This is often called “strung out”.
  3. The focus can move in circles, for example, or some other systematic or random pattern, causing what usually amounts to a psychosis or floating neurosis and anxiety condition.
  4. The focus of thinking can literally be coming from another frequency or dimension of reality.  This is definite psychosis and schizoid, yet it is extremely common.  Basically, the consciousness is split off to avoid pain of the trauma.  However, this means the person is not operating in this reality and so the diet, lifestyle, thinking and ability to heal the mind and body are seriously impaired, even if the person wishes very badly to heal.  This is the most common situation after a person has been traumatized, in fact.

These are ways that people who are traumatized in any way often literally “leave the body” to a degree because the body is no longer a comfortable place to live.  Grounding and centering have to do with rehabilitating the body, reducing chaos in the body-mind, and forcing the consciousness back into the body even if it is uncomfortable, at times.

Forcing the consciousness back into the body, even when it is uncomfortable.  This is a secret of some trauma release.  This is, at times, really the only way a person can truly handle or process his or her traumas and molestation from the past.  Otherwise, the person is not in reality, drifting, with free-floating anxiety and fear, and not really able to assess, evaluate, and reprocess anything very much.

This is one of the primary reasons why centering is so critical for trauma release, and why the Roy Masters exercise is helpful in the extreme, if one can do it.  It will not feel comfortable because it forces one back into the body.  This must be understood and tolerated, and possibly even enjoyed – like a purging pain, as Mr. Masters calls it.  It is the pain of reality, or the pain of true awareness.  It is a pain that heals.

Does the person need to know all about his or her traumas to heal with these methods? The answer is absolutely not.  The systems or energetic method of trauma release does not depend upon sitting and talking about one’s father, mother, abusive brother or sister, etc.  The latter are aspects of the analytic methods of trauma release.  Instead, the energetic or systems approach depends upon activating the self-healing power of the central nervous system to a high degree.

KEY FEATURES OF THE ENERGETIC OR SYSTEMS APPROACH TO TRAUMA RELEASE

Based upon the principles above, some key features of the energetic and balancing approach, which can be used in conjunction with some talking therapy, include:

  1. One must focus continually on increasing adaptive energy or vitality in the body/mind system.  The best way I know to do this is with a nutritional balancing program that is further adapted for trauma release.  The main way this is done is to increase the doses of the products somewhat.

Other modifications.  Also, beware that kelp, Endo-dren, selenium, and at times Limcomin, iron, and even Megapan and Thyro-complex will bring up anger and other negative emotions even faster and may need to be reduced for a while.  Increasing or decreasing these products can control and vary the speed and intensity of healing of traumas.

  1. Trauma buffers.  As part of a nutritional balancing program, certain nutritional supplements seem to function as trauma buffers.  These nutrients reduce the intensity of the feelings that come up as one heals the trauma.

These nutrients are calcium, magnesium, and zinc, primarily.  Another, in a few cases, is L-taurine and a product called ICMN (inositol, choline, methionine and niacinamide).  These tend to “put a lid on things”, and help keep a person more relaxed and in control of the trauma release process.  This is only true, however, when these products are combined properly in conjunction with a properly performed hair mineral test and a complete nutritional balancing program.

  1. One must continue to reduce stress, chaos and blockages of all types – nutritional, structural, biological such as infections, toxic and others.
  2. One need not force issues to surface, in most cases.  Instead, it is much safer and easier to just follow the nutritional balancing program.  In some cases, the program must be continuously modified a little bit for the best results.  However, do not deviate by taking other products that are not recommended, as there are important reasons why only certain products and techniques are used.
  3. The client does not have to know about the source of his or her problems, and indeed, usually cannot know all the details.  Traumas are processed nevertheless.  One may suddenly recall the incident, but at times, this does not occur and one simply wakes up one day and feels much freer.
  4. Healing reactions, purification reactions, or vigorous systems responses occur.  One must be prepared for these and handle them correctly.  See below for details about them.
  5. The therapist or healer or doctor is not as in control.  For example, change can occur very quickly, or months may go by with no apparent shifts because a part of the brain or even the body needs healing first.
  6. Success depends on a multi-modality approach to literally break vicious cycles in many places at once.  This approach almost always requires a more healthful diet, more sleep and rest, the proper nutritional supplements, sauna therapy, coffee enemas, meditation, perhaps chiropractic and foot reflexology, and maybe more, in the proper combination to break certain stressors and patterns quickly and safely and efficiently.
  7. Issues and traumas will surface in their own order, and in their own time frame.  This, by the way, is often upsetting and difficult for the doctors and therapists.  Surprises will arise as the body and brain unwind layers of trauma.  These will catch all doctors and therapists off guard, at times.  For example, a trauma that no one knew about may surface, with vigorous symptoms.  Doctors and patients must learn how to use their “tool box” to mitigate the symptoms, and to “roll with the punches”.  Knowing how to use chiropractic, foot reflexology, simple changes in the supplements, and more rest usually suffice in almost all cases.
  8. One must learn consciously to trust the process of the energetic and balancing approach.  This can be difficult for some doctors, counselors, nutritionists, and other health professionals who are trained in the diagnose-and-treat, more linear approach to healing.

With the energetic approach of nutritional balancing, we work with the whole body system.  The system then begins to unwind and heal in unusual ways that are really quite amazing, but somewhat unpredictable.  Repeat hair mineral analyses and consultation about how to alter the programs is often imperative to facilitate the process and to keep it perfectly safe.  This is a new type of understanding, and is another reason nutritional balancing is not more popular, I believe.

OTHER TOPICS RELATED TO ENERGETIC TRAUMA RELEASE - HEALING REACTIONS IN TRAUMA RELEASE

A common feature of the energetic method of trauma release is what are called healing reactions.  These may also be called purification reactions, healing crises, reversals, retracings, exacerbations, aggravations or flare-ups.  I will use these terms interchangeably, and they are used by other authors to generally mean the exact same thing.

When these occur, issues and trauma surface by themselves as the brain does its self-healing.  The major issues may not surface for a while.  Instead, others may need to be resolved first.  Sometimes a totally unknown condition or trauma will arise, and may be the most critical, but was so heinous or buried that the person had no access to it previously.  At other times, the worst incident may evaporate easily when a chemical is removed from the body using nutritional balancing, and no other therapy or discussion is required at all.  The regular occurrence of healing reactions of this type is one difference between the analytical, and the energetic and balancing methods.

Bursting the bubbles – a type of healing response to be aware of. As the energy builds inside the person, at times, something pops and symptoms can be severe.  However, it is not a “disease”, which is how it can be often looked upon.  It is, in fact, a systems response that just looks like a serious problem.

Understood as a systems response, all that is usually needed is to rebalance the system and the problem goes away quickly.  We encounter these in the physical human system and they will occur when unwinding traumas by this method as well.  Physicians must be aware of them, or they will take the wrong actions and make things worse, or simply not be very effective at moving the client along his or her path of deep healing.  For much more on this topic, read Trauma Retracing on this website.

ENTITY REMOVAL, TRAUMA RELEASE AND NUTRITIONAL BALANCING

The presence of discarnate entities is common after trauma, especially sexual molestation, and even more so after a rape.  This is important to understand because it complicates healing, and may even be a major cause of physical or emotional symptoms, and problems resolving the trauma.

I find that nutritional balancing is helpful for entity removal.  Reasons for this may include:

  1. Raising the energy level.
  2. Removing toxic metals.
  3. Making the body more yang.
  4. Renourishing the body.
  5. Specific balancing of the vital mineral ratios.

OTHER METHODS COMMONLY USED TO RELEASE TRAUMAS

Counseling. Counseling is one of the main modalities, if not the major one, used today in most nations to help people who have gone through traumas.  Counseling and psychotherapy can help by 1) improving awareness and logical thinking about a trauma, 2) reducing some chaos in a person, even by forcing a person to arrive at regular counseling sessions and spend a solid hour sitting quietly, 3) providing a safe environment to talk and think about the past, 4) providing insights and information a person needs about how to live, etc., and 5) possibly establishing a healthy relationship with a more grounded and centered individual, and 6) in some cases, delving deeply into the causes and conditions around a trauma to help heal it.  Unfortunately, this is usually not nearly enough to resolve traumas on deep levels.

Common psychological and counseling approaches to trauma counseling include such methods as:

  1. Loving the person unconditionally.  This is the most common method.  It involves listening to the person, accepting as fact any assertions, claims or stories the person may tell, and supporting the person in whatever he or she wants to say or even do about the trauma.  Of course, this is not always best, but it is one approach.
  2. Confrontation or hating.  This is somewhat the opposite of the method above.  It involves challenging the person who has been traumatized to be strong, face facts, fight back, take a stand and realize how he or she may have contributed to the attack or incident or situation.  This is also useful at times, and necessary in some cases to help a victim of rape, for example, to be logical and take steps to prevent a recurrence, perhaps.
  3. Constant questioning. This is another common approach that is very good, when done correctly.  The therapist keeps asking questions to delve more deeply, not only about the incident or trauma, but about the person’s feelings about it, desires, fears, attitudes, and perhaps plans for the future.  It is important that the counselor follow through with many questions to draw out the person and help him or her think through the incident very clearly and concisely, and not draw conclusions, as most counselors do.  That is the key to this method.
  4. Psychoanalysis.  This is an older method of therapy that is very slow, but okay if one can afford it and afford the time it takes.  It consists of some questioning, some word associating, such as asking the person “What does the word rape remind you of?”, and many such questions to draw out the person, some dream analysis, and some listening.  Sigmund Freud, MD taught and popularized this method in Europe, especially, and in America, but it is not used much today due to its high cost, mainly.
  5. Jungian dream analysis.  This is a potentially powerful method, but requires a very skilled therapist to monitor and interpret dreams.
  6. Auditing.  This is a method used to reduce traumas in Scientology.  It involves the use of a type of galvanic skin response test.  This is somewhat like a lie detector test to assess the truth or falsehood of a person’s answers.  Professional lie detectors, however, are far more sophisticated today.
  7. Gestalt, transactional analysis, client-centered therapies, heart awakening, and other more modern variants on basic cognitive therapy.  These are all helpful to a degree, provided the therapist is very skilled, which unfortunately is not that common.
  8. Regression therapy using hypnosis.  This is another powerful cognitive method that is used professionally, at times, and should probably be used more.  The person is regressed under hypnosis to the scene or time of the trauma.  Then the therapist asks a lot of questions to assess the truth of the incident, and then brings the person back to the present.  Then the two discuss it all, demystify the trauma, and attempt to heal it using talk or other means.

This therapy can give the most insight quickly and accurately.  The problem is that just rehashing the incident does not clear it.  New hypnotic suggestions can be implanted using hypnosis, but these do not always work and can make things worse.  So hypnotherapy is not used too much for trauma, but can be extremely helpful if the therapist is very good.

PROBLEMS WITH ALL TALKING THERAPIES

Psychotherapeutic approaches all can work to some degree, but often leave much to be desired.  Problems with almost all counseling include:

  1. It is simply not powerful enough, in almost all cases, to dig deeply into buried traumas and undo them completely.  This is a difficult process, at best, and very difficult just using talk therapies of any kind, even hypnosis.
  2. Counseling is very variable in its results, as it depends upon a) the skill of the counselor, and b) the counseling method.  The method may be less important than the therapist, but results vary widely.  While some counselors are wonderful, many are not that skilled or experienced with trauma, in particular even if the counselor has survived a serious trauma.  Many counselors have not perfectly healed their own wounds, and this causes problems as well in many cases.
  3. Traumas are layered in the body, with the most important being the oldest, and often the most deeply hidden.  Most counseling can only get to the problems that a person knows about, so it tends to miss the deeper layers of trauma that are held unconsciously.
  4. High cost and slow progress.  Counseling tends to be very costly, especially if it is continued for some years.
  5. Adverse effects.  This may sound strange, but I am aware of many people who have been made more angry and more depressed by counselors and psychotherapists.  This occurs frequently, in fact, and is not an easy problem to solve because counseling is so subjective and people who have been traumatized are, at times, so sensitive to a word, a phrase or even a look or a gesture.  Also, while some practitioners are excellent, many simply are not as good.  Saying the wrong thing to a traumatized person can be devastating and even cause suicide.

OTHER POPULAR HEALING MODALITIES USED FOR TRAUMA

Drugs for trauma.  Medical doctors and psychiatrists regularly prescribe anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs, muscle relaxants, stimulants, and occasionally narcotics and anti-psychotic drugs.  These definitely help control some effects of trauma such as depression, anxiety, fears, phobias and post-traumatic stress disorder episodes.  In no way do these drugs “cure” the problem, however.

Problems with drug use for traumas includes the cost, and unwanted and toxic side effects that can include suicide, homicide, and other horrors.  So please be careful using drugs of any kind, including recreational drugs, after a trauma to handle your symptoms.

Drugs have another use.  They can literally dull the mind to block out all perception.  This is different from dealing with specific effects of trauma.  However, this use of drugs is also dangerous, since dulling the mind can make a person far more vulnerable to accidents, rape, depression and other problems.

Other methods.  These include biofeedback, use of other electronic machines, religious conversion with prayer and other rituals, and occasionally meditation, and bodywork such as yoga, chiropractic and Rolfing.  These methods vary in their effectiveness, but can definitely help somewhat.  Chiropractic, for example, is always needed after a rape or an accident, in my experience.  It can be life-saving.  It will not undo a trauma, however.  It just fixes the structural damage, which can be extensive.

Rolfing and structural integration, and even deep massage, may go deeper, but also are usually not enough to restore the body and mind fully. I suggest avoiding almost all yoga.  For all the reasons why this, read Yoga, Its Benefits and Problems on this website.
